SCOTT M. PETERSON IS THE FOUNDER OF PETERSON LAW FIRM
I opened Peterson Law Firm to provide representation to individuals in Employment and Serious Injury matters. My philosophy is and has been simple - I treat people well, and I try to look at things from not only my own perspective, but from the perspective of the other person.
I received my law degree from Albany Law School, where I served as a Managing Editor on the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. Prior to opening my firm, I worked for two Albany-based law firms, where I focused my practice on litigation in the areas of construction, malpractice, employment and serious injury.
I have represented clients in State and Federal courts throughout New York State, have been published in several publications including the New York Law Journal, and I have frequently provided commentary for local and national media outlets. I currently serve on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association Trial Laywers Section.
I am a 2011 a graduate of the "Leadership Saratoga" program for young business leaders, and I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Saratoga Affordable Housing Group as well as the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) Junior Committee. I frequently speak to groups of students and others about the law, society and their role, and I also donate time to serve as a mock judge/advisor in a number of local mock trials/events.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading, enjoying the outdoors, traveling and playing golf.
